A basketball kit is simple: shorts and a jersey. And that's not for nothing. Basketball shorts are nice and loose and airy, so you can move freely on the court. This is a must in such an explosive sport as basketball. You sprint, slow down, turn, jump and all in a few seconds. Good basketball clothing ensures that you are not limited in your performance.
Basketball shorts style
A striking feature of shorts for basketball is that they are quite long for shorts. And they are nice and loose with the wide legs. With some basketball players the shorts even come below the knee! That has not always been the case. Until the 1990s, basketball players in the NBA still wear short, tight pants. This will change when, how could it be otherwise, Michael Jordan prefers the model we all now know as the basketball shorts. This long version has a lot to do with style. This applies to basketball clothing in general; jerseys are worn just as well as casual clothes. Basketball shoes can also be combined well with jeans. However, there is currently a shift, with LeBron James preferring basketball shorts that fall above the knee. He thinks it has a more professional look and simply performs better in a shorter model.
Models and brands
And of course that is the point. Shorts should be comfortable and allow you to play your game on the field. Burned Sports has all kinds of models, so you can decide for yourself what suits you best. You can choose from different brands and different colors. Think sports brands like Nike, Mitchell & Ness and Spalding (which also makes basketballs, yes). Special items for men, women and children can be found in the webshop and the shops. All shorts are also made of breathable material. That certainly applies to Burned Sports' own clothing line. Our shorts and jerseys are made of mesh. A material with ventilating holes, so that everyone can stay dry and fresh during a game of basketball.

Of course you are not there with only shorts. A matching jersey is just as important. But don't underestimate good socks and basketball shoes either. These items really complete your outfit.
