The National Basketball Association is America's largest basketball organization. This is the league every basketball player wants to belong to and play in. The greatest on earth were stars in the NBA. None other than Michael Jordan, Lebron James, Stephen Curry or Kobe Bryant have changed the whole world with their basketball skills. The league is located in America and has several well-known Teams such as the Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics.

Division of teams and matches

The NBA is a league that currently consists of 30 teams divided into a Western Conference and Eastern Conference. Each Conference, in turn, is divided into three Divisions of five teams each: the Atlantic, Central, and Southeast Divisions in the Eastern Conference and the Northwest, Pacific, and Southwest Divisions in the Western Conference. A Regular NBA season starts in the first week of November. Each team in the NBA plays a total of 82 games. Compared to other sports, that is an extreme amount! Each team plays at least twice against every other team (once at home and once away); teams from their own division are played four times and teams in the other two divisions in the same Conference three or four times, so that the total number of games is 82.
